This mountain residence is boldly sited on a steeply sloping, 100-acre meadow where the peaks of Telluride are visible in all directions. A series of long stone walls extending from structural walls within the house create a variety of outdoor terraces and courts arranged to express the site’s dynamic topography. A sunken entry court features an arrangement of large boulders, a walled dining terrace with reflecting pool and garden captures morning light, and a large stone terrace adjacent to the living room provides additional outdoor gathering space. Other spaces include a spa deck and courts and terraces serving the bedrooms.
