Trumpf Laser Factory
Farmington, Connecticut
This master plan and courtyard design were initiated by the addition
of a 50,000 square foot factory and office to the existing campus. The
38-acre site includes pedestrian and vehicular circulation, parking, plantings
and stormwater planning. The one acre courtyard resolves the oblique geometry
of the new building with the existing training and visitors’ center, while
providing a campus center for employees and visitors to gather. Two custom
bench designs, one precast and one illuminated steel, sit within the paved
concrete terraces.
