Private Residence

Western United States

High in the western slopes of the Rockies, this house was conceived by the design team as a bold structure that defines the impoundment of a fire pond serving area properties. The resulting plinth is a broad base for a series of delicate, pavilion-like structures forming the residence. Between pavilions, various courts and terraces offer shelter from the mountain weather patterns and lead to a trail system that wends throughout a large alpine tract.
