MBLA is assisting in the rehabilitiation
of the colonial revival garden
associated with the Henry Wadsworth
Longfellow House, a National Historic
Landmark. A 1926 plan determined the
character of the garden, while the new
design accommodates an addition to
the existing historic library, ADA
accessibility, and gathering space for
functions. Phase 2 of this project
involves a modern replacement of the
existing museum and office, further
emphasizing the line between old and
new.
