Field HouseEllington, WisconsinThis 16 acre site in northern Wisconsin continues to serve as a working agricultural field, rotating crops of soy, corn and oats, as it has for generations. The house and drive were carefully sited in deference to the surrounding agrarian landscape, allowing seasonal changes to prevail. A small orchard, wetland garden and seasonal pond reinforce the sensory qualities of seasonality, while the architecture evokes vernacular utilitarian structures.with Wendell Burnette Architects |
