Martha's Vineyard House

Chilmark, Massachusetts

The design for this small multi-use court space responds directly to the southerly ‘room’ created by the shifting, rectangular forms of the house. Stone walls echo and complement the building form, and establish zones of entry, garden and outdoor eating, while a broad, stone bench welcomes visitors to the home’s entry landing.
