Seal Harbor House

Seal Harbor, Maine

This long, dynamic house is carefully nestled into the coastal Maine forest atop a dramatic, stepped outcropping of ledges. Broad masses of wild sod and other native plantings were utilized to restore damage from construction. Nature is then contrasted with a series of precisely cut granite steps, landings and paving stones that create a variety of refined moments along woodland paths that envelop this house.
