Portland Foreside Development Phase 2

Portland Foreside is a newly created 10-acre neighborhood located at the former Portland Company site on Portland’s historic eastern waterfront. The recently completed Phase One includes new office headquarters for Sun Life, ground level retail and the relocation and reconstruction of the historic Building 12, now housing TWELVE restaurant, recently awarded a 2023 Maine Preservation Honor Award from the Maine Preservation Organization. Design of Phase Two is underway to  extend the shared streetscape design, which promotes pedestrian connections throughout the site along the waterfrontand to upper Fore Street. Phase Two involves close collaborations with Perkins + Will, Baskervill and Marvel and includes designs for many courtyards, rooftop plazas and gardens.
